Use several road types
Include rough pavement, smooth pavement, turns, a moderate hill, parking maneuvers, and a faster road when conditions allow. Listen with the audio system off. Notice rattles, wind noise, wheel-bearing sounds, suspension impacts, and whether the vehicle pulls or requires constant correction.
Test acceleration and braking progressively

If a warning appears or a concern cannot be explained, request diagnosis before continuing the transaction rather than accepting a verbal assurance.
